BELLE CHASSE, La. — The U.S. Navy Blue Angels arrived in New Orleans Thursday for their weekend Air Show in Belle Chasse.
Air show visitors can expect to experience some of America's top aviators, both military and civilian, static displays of planes and other military equipment. There will also be a kids zone.
Along with the Blue Angels, the show will feature other teams like The Air Combat Command F-16 Viper and the Misty Blues Jump Team.
The air shows are on Saturday, March 23 and Sunday, March 24.
Parking and admission are free. Gates open at 8 a.m. and the air show starts at 10 a.m.
A photo ID is required for entry for persons ages 18 or older.

Air show visitors may enter the base through the Blue Gate Road entrance, off Hwy. 23, which is about one mile south of the main gate, or the Back Gate off Barriere Road, where buses will continuously shuttle visitors to and from the air show.
Security procedures state that all persons and carry-in items are subject to search. Confiscated items will not be returned. Also, all unattended bags and items will be removed from the premise.
