NASA's largest rocket fuel tank leaves New Orleans for Alabama

As NASA prepares for the next round of human space exploration, New Orleans is playing a big role.

WWL-TV photojournalist Brian Lukas shows us the world's largest fuel tank built for a space rocket, made right here in New Orleans.

The fuel tank for America's new deep space rocket was built at NASA's Michoud Assembly Facility, and is now on its way to the organization's facility in Huntsville, Alabama.

From there, the next stop is Earth's orbit.
