An argument over condiments at a Popeyes in Marrero led to the arrest of one man after he allegedly pointed a gun at an employee, according to the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office.
Sheriff's officials confirmed Tuesday that Earl Jethroe, 59, of Marrero, was arrested on Nov. 30 after he ordered a meal from the Popeyes located at 7100 West Bank Expressway.
No one was injured when Jethroe apparently was at the counter inside the restaurant and threw his chicken at an employee during the disagreement, then brandished a pistol at the manager.
After the incident, Jethroe left the Popeyes, crossed the street and entered the Church's Chicken, officials said. That's where deputies said they arrived and found him yelling, unsteady on his feet and smelling of alcohol.
Jethroe was arrested outside the Church's Chicken. He was booked with aggravated assault with a firearm and disturbing the peace while drunk.
