NEW ORLEANS — With forecasts calling for extreme heat conditions in southeast Louisiana, The City of New Orleans opens several public cooling centers across the area.

The City of New Orleans launched the NOLA Ready Heat Relief Map, which can be found at Heat Relief Map/Recursos para aliviar el calor (arcgis.com). This interactive map lists locations with free indoor air-conditioned locations for the general public.
For tips on how to beat the heat, go to ready.nola.gov/heat.
Community organizations and/or businesses that are willing to act as a free community cooling site for the public should email ready@nola.gov with the address, dates and hours to be added to the map.
