A Houma resident is accused of stealing a car from a dealership Saturday and ramming it into a gate before abandoning it, the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff's Office said.
Phillip Dehart, 23, 304 Troy St., was charged Monday with theft of a motor vehicle and felony criminal damage to property, Capt. Dawn Foret said.
Dehart allegedly stole a Dodge Challenger from Southland Dodge in Houma, drove it into a metal gate, causing major damage, and left the car in the Ashland North subdivision Sunday, Foret said.
