Lafourche and most Terrebonne Parish Public Schools to reopen on Tuesday

"Barring any additional emergency closures, Fall Break is still scheduled for Oct. 14 – 15," LPSD officials said.

LAFOURCHE PARISH, La. — Lafourche and most Terrebonne Parish Public Schools will reopen on Tuesday, September 17, following Hurricane Francine's cleanup.

Lafourche Parish officials said the closure has not affected any planned breaks or holidays.

"Barring any additional emergency closures, Fall Break is still scheduled for Oct. 14 – 15," LPSD officials said.

Parents and guardians are asked to check with their child’s school for any events or activities that may have been rescheduled due to the closures.

In Terrebonne Parish, every school except Grand Caillou Elementary will reopen. Grand Caillou is still waiting to have their power restored.

"We will have more updates about reopening of Grand Caillou Elementary School around 3:00 PM today on the GCE School’s Website, GCE Facebook Page, and through our JCampus Robocall system," Terrebonne officials said.
