NEW ORLEANS — Three people were injured after a car attempted to do a burnout on the Houma parade route before the Crew of Mardi Gras Parade rolled on Feb. 18.
According to the Houma Police Department, 20-year-old Adrian Bell attempted the dangerous maneuver at the intersection of Grand Caillou Road and Prospect Boulevard around 4:42 p.m. while a crowd of people waited for the parade.
Police say his car spun out and struck three pedestrians and two other vehicles.
Two of the victims were taken to the hospital to be treated for their injuries and have since been released.
Officers arrested Bell on the scene of one count of reckless operation and three counts of negligent injuring.
