METAIRIE, La. — 14,000 Entergy customers in Metairie, just outside of the Orleans Parish line, lost power Tuesday evening, but had it back on in about an hour, according to the Entergy outage map.

The outages were in the Bucktown area, and the area on the other side of Veterans Blvd. The boundaries were from Lake Pontchartrain to Airline Drive and from Causeway Blvd. to the Orleans Parish line.

NOLA.com says that Jefferson Parish Councilman Scott Walker said on X, formerly known as Twitter, that the outage is expected to be over around 8 p.m.

There was no reason given on the Entergy web site for the outage.
