METAIRIE, La. — A motorcyclist died after being involved in a crash with an SUV in Metairie on Tuesday, according to Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office.
The press release from JPSO said that deputies were dispatched after 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday to a report of a crash between a motorcycle and sport utility vehicle at the intersection of West William David Parkway and Veterans Memorial Boulevard.
JSPO said that the motorcycle was traveling westbound on Veterans in the center lane while the car was traveling northbound on West William David. According to the press release, the two vehicles crashed at the intersection as the car crossed the westbound lanes.
JPSO said that the motorcyclist was transported to a hospital where he died from his injuries after surgery. The car's occupants were transported and treated for their injuries.
