KENNER, La. — A water main break shut down a Kenner intersection Thursday morning, according to Kenner P.D. businesses in the area have lost water as a result.
The closure was on the 3400 block of Loyola Drive, southbound, Kenner Police announced at 9:20 a.m. on Thursday.
"Repairs are underway to repair a broken water main at the intersection of West Esplanade and Loyola after an earlier car crash," Kenner P.D. said Thursday morning. "Repairs are expected to take multiple hours."
The department posted a photo on social media of construction crews surrounding the flooded intersection.
"PLEASE avoid the area," Kenner P.D. posted on social media Thursday morning. "There are nearby businesses that are without water.
