MARRERO, La. — The Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in identifying a man in a fire investigation at the Walmart in Marrero.
Deputies and the Jefferson Parish Fire Department responded to a fire inside a store at 4810 Laplaco Boulevard on Tuesday. When they arrived, the store's sprinkler system had already extinguished the fire.
Investigators say the man was in the aisle in the sporting goods section next to the shelves around 11 p.m. Shortly after, the area became engulfed in flames, according to JPSO.
The suspect then left the store and fled on a dark-colored bicycle.
