METAIRIE, La. — The Jefferson Parish Water Department’s boil water advisory is still in effect for residents of East Jefferson and will remain in effect for the entire east bank of Jefferson Parish until rescinded by the Jefferson Parish Water Department and the Louisiana Department of Health.

As a result of the continuing boil water advisory, our Eastbank schools will make the following adjustments:
Eastbank High Schools
- Bonnabel
- East Jefferson
- Haynes
- Riverdale and Jefferson (Virtual classes)
All Eastbank secondary schools will transition to virtual learning on Thursday, January 25. Teachers will provide instructions and resources for virtual classes through our online learning platform.
Eastbank Elementary/Middle/K-8 Schools
All Eastbank elementary, middle, and K-8 schools will remain closed on Thursday, January 25. This includes the before and after-school care and all after-school activities.
