RIVER RIDGE, La. — All lanes of River Road ahead of the Oak Street railroad crossing will be closed on Saturday, March 9, due to work being conducted by the New Orleans Public Belt Railroad.
Jefferson Parish officials announced the closure on Monday.
That section of River Road will be closed starting at 7 a.m. and is scheduled to be completed by 9 p.m.
Traffic heading eastbound on River Road will take a left on Monticello Avenue and continue north to Jefferson Highway to detour.
Motorists are asked to follow all posted detour signs.
