MARRERO, La. - One woman is dead following an accident involving a Jefferson Parish deputy's vehicle, according to the sheriff's office.
The wreck happened near the intersection of Barataria Blvd. and Mount Rushmore Drive shortly before 10 a.m.
Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office officials identified the woman as 72-year-old Mary Truxillo of Marrero.
