JEFFERSON PARISH, La. — A 14-year-old who clung to life for a week after a vicious attack with a hammer that left three others dead has also died from her injuries.
Nashawna Riley was taken off life support, and an autopsy will now be conducted to determine her cause of death, said Jefferson Parish Coroner Gerry Cvitanovich.
Nashawna’s death now means Terrance Leonard, the man suspect of the attack, will face a fourth count of first-degree murder.
