Silver Alert: Kenner patient found and returned to living facility

JEFFERSON PARISH, La. — The Kenner Police Department said a Kenner patient was found on Friday after he was reported missing on Wednesday.

65-year-old James Evans, Jr. "returned to the Waldon Health Care Center on his own accord. He was found to be in good health with no signs of injury or abuse," a release said.

Evans was reported missing on Wednesday, Aug. 28 around 9:40 p.m.

The Louisiana State Police asked for the public's assistance in finding Evans who is a patient at an assisted living facility in Kenner. 

65-year-old James Evans, Jr. was wearing a teal shirt and burgundy pants. He is a Black male with brown eyes, grey hair, 6’00” tall and weighs about 150 pounds.

Evans was last seen walking away from the facility located at 2401 Idaho Avenue.

Kenner Police said Evans "suffers from dementia and diabetes" in a release.

Family members confirm that Evans suffers from a medical condition that may impair his judgment. 

Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is asked to immediately contact the Kenner Police Department at 504-712-2222 or dial 911.  All questions should be directed to the Kenner Police Department.
