METAIRIE, La. — The Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office is offering a $1,000 reward for any information that could help lead to an arrest after fires damaged Lafreniere Park's Christmas lights displays.
According to our partners at Nola.com, arson investigators at the sheriff's office started investigating the incident on Dec. 26. Officials said the fires were discovered around 4 a.m. on Pavilion Island.
Jefferson Parish fire officials said the cost of damage surpasses $100,000.
Our partners at Nola.com said, after recovering evidence from the fires, investigators determined they were set intentionally.
