SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. — LSU quarterback and Heisman trophy winner Jayden Daniels was honored by his former high school Saturday as they renamed the stadium after him.

According to our partners at WBRZ, Daniels' alma mater, Cajon High School, also celebrated Daniels with a custom letterman jacket, decorated with a Heisman trophy patch during a ceremony.

Daniels was awarded the 2023 Heisman Trophy during a ceremony held at Lincoln Center in New York on Saturday, Dec. 9 last year.

He is the third LSU Tiger to win the Heisman Trophy behind fellow quarterback Joe Burrow in 2019 and running back Billy Cannon in 1959.

The record-setting Daniels led the nation in total offense with 412.2 yards per game. He led the FBS in TD passes with 40 and he is responsible for rushing another 10 for a nation’s best 50 TDs.

The star quarterback also recorded 5,061 yards of offense as he went 9-3 with LSU in his Heisman-winning season, WBRZ reported.
