NEW ORLEANS — The driver of an 18-wheeler traveling on Interstate 10 in New Orleans, suffered an apparent medical distress and crashed into the guardrail, NOPD said.
It happened on eastbound I-10 near the Orleans/Vieux Carre’ exit crashed around 9:00 a.m. Friday.
“Responding officers found the driver of the truck in apparent medical distress, which was the reported cause of the accident. New Orleans EMS transported him to the hospital. The incident remains under investigation,” NOPD spokesperson Sgt. Barry Fletcher told WWL Louisiana.
It was a one-vehicle accident and no one else was hurt.
