HAMMOND, La. — The Hammond Fire Department asked drivers to avoid 190 West near Lowes.
Hammond Firefighters along with Natalbany, Albany, and Independence worked to extinguish the building fire which had Hwy 190 shut down from Lowes to Westin Oaks.
Once the fire was out, the highway reopened. No injuries were reported.
