MANDEVILLE, La. — A hail storm hit Mandeville and Slidell Sunday, with large amounts of ice falling onto the ground. This came after a severe thunderstorm warning alerted residents around 5:30 p.m., with the potential threat until 6:30 p.m.
The thunderstorm warned residents of large hail and isolated thunderstorms. The largest hail was in Tangipahoa Parish around 5:30 p.m. but parts of Mandeville and Slidell also had a fair share of it, plenty documented by our viewers.
Most of the reports were of pea to dime-sized hail, but some areas had plenty of it.
WWL Louisiana viewers shared videos and photos of hail in their neighborhoods.
