GRAND ISLE, La. — Officials on Grand Isle issued a weather alert on Friday due to a low pressure system affecting the Gulf Coast.
Grand Isle mayor and town council have urged all residents to stay alert and monitor the weather as they expect conditions to worsen throughout the day.
According to officials, the GI Multiplex Center is open for anyone in need of evacuating their home. Those evacuees need to bring their own supplies, such as water, food and any necessary medications.
Grand Isle officials will provide updates as the situation develops.
