BATON ROUGE, La. — Four people were taken to the hospital Tuesday night with burns after being exposed to ammonia from a chemical plant in Baton Rouge, according to WBRZ.
The incident happened around 8:15 p.m. at Formosa Plastics. The Baton Rouge Fire Department said "a compromised cylinder broke" at the plant, our partners reported.
Two people are in critical condition and two "were serious but stable". They said the incident is not a danger to the public and ammonia was not released from the facility.
