'Roll to the Polls' | RTA to give free rides for early voting

On Saturday, Oct. 26, and Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 5, residents can take a ride to voting locations across the city.

NEW ORLEANS — Do you need a ride to the polls? The New Orleans Regional Transit Authority (RTA) is offering free rides this weekend and on Election Day.

As part of their "Roll to the Polls" campaign, riders can ride at no charge on all RTA buses, street cars, and ferries.

On Saturday, Oct. 26, and Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 5, residents can take a ride to voting locations across the city.

Polls are open from 8:30 a.m. until 6 p.m.

Proof of voter registration or an RTA pass is not needed.
