Crop duster plane crashes in LaPlace, pilot survives, sheriff reports

The FAA is notified and investigating the sheriff's office said.

LAPLACE, La. — The St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office reports that a crop duster plane crashed in LaPlace field.

The sheriff’s office says it received a call at approximately 9:12 a.m. on Saturday about a crop duster crash located at E. Airline Highway and Oswald Avenue.

The pilot survived with no injuries. Few details are available at this time on what led to the crash. The FAA is notified and investigating the sheriff's office said.
