NEW ORLEANS - A modular home contractor accused of swindling?hundreds of thousands of dollars?from local homeowners is now in police custody.
Donald Tabor,?the manager and owner of?SunBrite Homes,?was arrested in Palm Beach County, Florida on a warrant from the?Tangipahoa's Sheriff's Office.
As Eyewitness News first reported in July, several homeowners claimed they had given Tabor all of their insurance or Road Home money to build their modular home,?but many of the homes were never delivered.
Tabor will soon be extradited to Tangipahoa Parish to face charges, as well as in Saint Bernard Parish, on charges brought by the Louisiana Attorney General's Office.
