NEW ORLEANS — I gotta hand it to Mayor Cantrell. When the going gets tough, she gets going – right outta town.
Amid mass resignations at the Regional Transit Authority board, fighting with the City Council over keys to her Pontalba Apartment crib, and renewed talk of a federal investigation, Cantrell flew to Washington, D.C. for yet another conference. This one, by the Yale Mayors College, has a title that Cantrell had to love: “The Secondary Business Effects of the Primary Election Season: Lessons on Guiding Investor, Workforce, Customer and Community Harmony.”
WHAT???
That’s a word salad that even Cantrell would have difficulty tossing.
But have no fear, her PR team says she’ll be back soon to continue, quote: “Meeting Our People Where They Are.”
Until, that is, the going gets tough.
