NEW ORLEANS — Late November marks the season of giving and giving thanks. For Eyewitness News Political Analyst and Gambit columnist Clancy DuBos, that means counting our blessings. That’s the topic of this week’s Commentary.
This Thanksgiving I’m thankful for silver linings.
After losing seven straight games, the Saints won two in a row under interim coach Darren Rizzi. And even if they won’t be playing in the Super Bowl, the big game will be played in the Caesars Superdome on Feb. 9.
Amid one of the most destructive hurricane seasons ever, most of Louisiana was spared catastrophic damage.
Nationally, we can all be thankful that the bitter presidential contest is over, and this time, we can expect a peaceful transfer of power.
Finally, for all its problems, New Orleans remains one of the most interesting places on earth.
From my family and me to you and yours, Happy Thanksgiving.
