Blood drive set for 4-year-old girl with rare form of cancer, here is when and where to donate

Her mom, Brittany Stevens, said Amelia is diagnosed with DIPG, a rare and terminal brain cancer that affects 300 children every year.

KENNER, La. — Amelia Hindman is battling a rare form of untreatable brain cancer. Doctors tell her parents that she is expected to live for another 18 months.

Her mom, Brittany Stevens, said Amelia is diagnosed with DIPG, a rare and terminal brain cancer that affects 300 children every year.

She appeared on WWL Louisiana Morning News to help spread awareness about her diagnosis.

Now, the family along with The Blood Center are holding a blood drive for Amelia Hindman.

The blood drive will be at the Seven Oaks Academy Early Childhood Center 1901 36th Street Kenner, LA 70065 Saturday, September 28, 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
