Artists announced for NOLAxNOLA's All-Star Tribute to Stevie Wonder on Oct. 3

NEW ORLEANS — A jam-packed, star-studded lineup will take the stage for a big night to benefit local organizations such as the Tip-it Foundation, Youth Empowerment Project, MiNO Foundation and Roots of Music at Tipitina's on Thursday, Oct. 3.

Partnering with NOLAxNOLA presents, Tipitina's is hosting an All-Star Tribute to Stevie Wonder, and featuring special guest performances from the following:

  • Irma Thomas
  • Cyril Neville
  • Kermit Ruffins
  • Deacon John
  • Jon Cleary
  • Nigel Hall
  • Big Sam Williams

Even more exciting, these legendary local performers will be backed by an 11-piece funk orchestra named 'The Wonderlove All-Stars' consisting of the following:

  • Stanton Moore (Galactic)
  • Cornell Williams (Nell & Bel)
  • Jelly Joseph
  • Taku Hirano (Fleetwood Mac)
  • Rich Vogel (Galactic)
  • Ari Teitel (The Rumble)
  • Kendrick Marshall
  • The Superstitious Horns

New Orleans teen singer and piano prodigy, River Eckert, 15, will begin the event with a set of all-time soul classics.

NOLAxNOLA is a coaliton of over 50 New Orleans music venues, artists and cultural leaders in partnership with the New Orleans Company and the New Orleans Tourism and Cultural Board.

Doors will open at 7 p.m. and the show will begin at 8. Tickets are currently available on the Tipitina’s website and at the Tipitina’s Box Office located at 501 Napoleon Avenue.
