NEW ORLEANS — The I-10 westbound was closed for at least an hour at Almonaster due to an accident on the Highrise Bridge.
I-10 West closed and the DOTD advises motorists to use an alternate route such as the Danziger Bridge which caused traffic congestion as far back to Chef Menteur Highway. This came during the early morning commute hours.
It is unclear if anyone was hurt in the crash.
