NEW ORLEANS — The Causeway Police Department reports that the southbound Causeway Bridge has reopened following an accident that had it closed to commuters during the busy rush hour.
Causeway Police say the crash at mile maker 17 involved at least five vehicles but is now cleared out of the way and the bridge has reopened to traffic after being closed for nearly an hour.
At this time, the severity of the crash is unclear.
