METAIRIE, La. — The southbound Causeway Bridge has reopened after briefly closing due to an accident.
Police are on the scene of an accident that prompted authorities to close part of the Causeway Bridge. The Accident was cleared and the bridge soon after reopened.
The causeway police reported the accident at about 8:35 a.m. on the southbound Causeway Bridge.
Few details are available at this time. The condition of the driver is unknown.
