ABITA SPRINGS, La. — Louisiana’s largest local brewery is opening up a second operation in New Orleans.

Abita Brewing Company announced Tuesday that they plan to open a second brewery location on Tchoupitoulas Street in New Orleans.

Abita New Orleans plans to open in early 2025.

What sets Abita Brewing beer apart from others is that it is brewed using Abita Springs natural spring water, which Vice President of Marketing at Abita Heidi Guerra said will still be used for brewing at the New Orleans location.

“Water is the foundation of all our brews, and we are committed to our craft brewing principles and staying true to who we are, which means all of the beverages crafted at our southshore location will be brewed with the same pure, artesian spring water as our northshore location,” said Guerra.

“Adding a Brewery location in New Orleans just makes sense. We want people to have the opportunity to taste our beers where it’s most convenient for them and for a lot of Louisianians and visitors, that’s in the heart of New Orleans.”

Like their northshore location, beer enthusiasts will have the opportunity to learn about the brewery’s history and brewing techniques while exploring signature brews.
