GRAMERCY, La. — A six-vehicle crash involving an overturned 18-wheeler hauling nitrogen had I-10 eastbound closed near Gramercy Louisiana, causing major delays for morning commuters.
The crash happened sometime overnight. It is unclear if anyone was hurt in the crash. The Interstate was eventually cleared and reopened at about 8:00 a.m.
The crash happened near exit 641 on eastbound I-10 as crews worked to recover the overturned 18-wheeler. Traffic had to be diverted off at 641 and drivers had to take Airline Highway to Laplace to avoid the closure.
