2024 Pool Guide: Where to swim this summer in New Orleans

Beat the summer heat by taking a dive in one of the many swimming pools, water parks and beaches in the surrounding New Orleans area.

NEW ORLEANS — Summer's here – and with it the state's always sultry subtropical temperatures.

For locals and tourists looking to beat the oppressive heat, WWL Louisiana has compiled a list of New Orleans-area watering holes and cement ponds where you can take a refreshing dip—and, in some cases, wet your whistle.

From free public swimming pools to 'pay as you play' adults-only resort passes for access to some of the area's most luxurious hotels and clubs, this list has got you covered.

The list even includes a nearby water park or two and the closest beaches to dig your feet in the sand and soak up a few rays along the shore.
