NEW ORLEANS -- A week after being shot five times while serving a warrant, Jefferson Parish Sherriff's Deputy Stephen Arnold remains in critical, but stable condition, according to JPSO.
In an update from the sheriff's office, Col. John Fortunato stated Arnold's physicians are in close contact with his family.
Fortunato asked that anyone wanting to donate on Detective Arnold's behalf can do so by making checks payable to the Sheriff Newell Normand Community Foundation c/o Treasurer, at 2612 Crestway Road, Marrero, LA 70072.
All money received will be earmarked to be used towards medical expenses incurred by Detective Arnold, he added.
