NEW ORLEANS — 50 years ago, Quint Davis was a Tulane University drama and ethnomusicology major who admittedly attended more concerts and music gigs than he did classes. When he met George Wein, the producer of the first New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival, his life changed forever and the Jazz Fest as we know it was born. Now as the one-of-a-kind event celebrates its 50th anniversary, Davis sits down with anchor Eric Paulsen for an in-depth conversation about Jazz Fest's past and present. Here is the interview presented in five parts.
