NEW ORLEANS — A man who owns more than a dozen hotels in the New Orleans area has added a plantation to his portfolio.
Real estate developer Joe Jaeger purchased Nottoway Plantation in White Castle, Louisiana for $3.1 million, according to a report from the New Orleans Advocate.
The previous owner died in 2014 but spent 10 years and about $15 million renovating the property to create a luxury resort.
At 53,000 square feet, Nottoway Plantation is the South's largest existing antebellum mansion.
