No cases of coronavirus have been reported in Louisiana.

NEW ORLEANS — Two additional faculty members in Archdiocese schools are under self-quarantines after traveling overseas during the Mardi Gras break, the Archdiocese of New Orleans announced Thursday.

Those teachers bring the number to four of faculty members in Archdiocese schools that are under self-quarantines.

The latest teachers work at St. Clement of Rome School in Metairie. Archdiocese Director of Communications Sarah McDonald said in a news release Thursday.

Neither of the teachers traveled to restricted areas where coronavirus has been discovered and neither show any symptoms.

Earlier this week, two other teachers also began self-quarantines, one teacher works at St. Benilde in Metairie, the other at St. Rita in New Orleans. Neither of them are showing any symptoms of illness.

Their self-quarantines are being done out of an abundance of caution, according to Archdiocese Director of Communications Sarah McDonald.

On Monday, three teachers from John Ehret High School were asked to stay home for two weeks after traveling to countries dealing with coronavirus outbreaks.

A letter from school officials said the teachers from John Ehret did not show any symptoms of illness.

No cases of coronavirus have been reported in Louisiana.
