NEW ORLEANS -- When Terrylyn Dorsey is dancing, it's hard to focus on anyone else.

Her footwork is simply mesmerizing.

Last August, a man who goes by the name Itchy who creates second line videos and posts them on social media share one of Dorsey during a Hurricane Katrina memorial secondline. Baton Rouge rapper Lil Boosie shared the the video, and with his millions of followers, Dorsey soon went viral.

And then people started asking, who is this girl?

The 21-year-old New Orleans native said a lot of people now recognize her, and she's loving it.

"Before I went viral, I thought I would just be at the secondline still, on the side the band, rolling - for free," Dorsey said.

The fame may be new for Dorsey, but the dancing is not.

She's been dancing since she was five-years-old. Dorsey's mom was in a second line dance group, and even though she has no professional training, Dorsey's viral fame helped her land a gig teaching her second line skills to a group called Fire Expressions Art and Dance Conservatory.

Dorsey said the attention has inspired her to turn her passion into her paycheck.

"Once I went viral, I started thinking, 'I could turn this into my job, my business,'" Dorsey said.

She says she's ready to go back to school, study business and start her own second line business teaching classes.

And Dorsey says, she will help anyone who wants to up their second line game.

What Dorsey has is a gift, and she wants to spend her life sharing that gift with everyone else.
