WWL Radio's Scoot injured in French Quarter hit and run

Police are working to ID the two motorcyclists involved

WWL Radio's afternoon talk-show host Scott "Scoot" Paisant was wounded in a hit and run in the French Quarter Friday night.

According to a statement from WWL management, "Scoot’s OK, but he’s recovering from some tough injuries to his body. Scoot was struck, knocked unconscious and left injured by a speeding motorcyclist on Canal Street."

According to New Orleans Police, a blue and a red motorcycle were going down Canal Street at a high rate of speed around 1:42 a.m. as Scoot was crossing the road on foot. Police say the blue motorcycle struck Scoot, knocking him unconscious, but both riders kept going in the same direction without stopping.

Surveillance cameras capture the following images of the motorcyclists:

"Unfortunately, the pictures from the photo cams on Canal Street are too blurry to make a positive identification due to the high speed of the motorcycle.  NOPD is seeking additional video from the area," according to the statement from WWL management.

Scoot is recovering and posted this video to his YouTube channel detailing the incident:
