NEW ORLEANS — New Orleans Police are investigating after a woman was found shot in Mid-City early Sunday morning.
According to investigators, police responded to a report of shots fired at about 2:33 a.m. in the 500 block of South Scott Street. First District officers found an adult female inside a residence, suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to hospital via New Orleans EMS. The woman's condition is unknown at this time.
