NEW ORLEANS — The New Orleans Police Department is investigating a shooting in Gert Town that left a woman injured with a gunshot wound after she found an unknown person in her living room with a gun.
The NOPD says it happened in the 8000 block of Edinburgh Street at about 5:00 a.m. Saturday.
According to an initial NOPD report, the woman told police she found an armed subject in her living room who then asked the victim for "the whereabouts of another unknown suspect.” Police say the subject then shot the woman and fled the scene. Police did not say what condition the victim was in at this time.
