NEW ORLEANS — Three women were reported hurt after NOPD said they were called to the scene of a shooting and stabbing in the St. Claude area Thursday afternoon.
Two women were injured and transported to the hospital via Emergency Medical Services with one suffering from a gunshot wound and another from a stabbing.
A third woman was also hurt in the incident, according to an NOPD update on Friday. Although that victim had not been stabbed or shot, police said.
"(She) was found to have sustained minor injuries not from gunshot or cutting," NOPD said Friday morning. "The victim refused medical treatment on scene."
A video posted on Instagram captures the incident as it unfolded on the 3000 block of Law Street with bystanders running for safety as dozens of shots ring out.
The video also shows a man coming to the aid of a young girl in an attempt to keep her out of harm's way.

According to police, the incident occurred before 4:19 p.m. on a block bordering the St. Claude and Florida-area neighborhoods.
The crime scene was still active several hours later, as police taped off part of the 3000 block of Law Street. The ground was littered with dozens of evidence markers just inches apart.
On that same block, a church was riddled with bullet holes. We have not confirmed if those happened during Thursday’s shooting.
