NEW ORLEANS -- Police are investigating a fatal stabbing overnight in the French Quarter.
The incident happened around 1 a.m. in the 300 block of Decatur Street.
Authorities said two people were involved in an argument which turned physical. Police said bystanders were able to break up the fight. That's when the victim found out she had been stabbed.
The parish coroner identified the woman as 21-year-old Brittany Seymour.
Officials said Seymour was brought to a local hospital where she later died.
No other details were made immediately available.
