NEW ORLEANS — Two people were shot Wednesday night in the 2200 block of Canal Street.
NOPD said they received a call around 7:58 p.m. and confirmed around 8:09 p.m.
Officers said two victims had suffered gun shot wounds. One victim was taken to a nearby hospital and the other was brought to a hospital privately.
At 8:32 p.m. NOPD reported one of the victims died at the hospital.
