Two more suspects arrested in connection with DA Jason Williams' carjacking

The day after the carjacking, 18-year-old Raymond Rochon and a juvenile considered an affiliated and/or an accomplice were arrested for the incident.

NEW ORLEANS — A juvenile and adult were arrested Tuesday for carjacking of Orleans Parish District Attorney Jason Williams. 

NOPD says they arrested 18-year-old Ahmad Seals and a 16-year-old juvenile male. Seals was arrested on three counts of principle to armed robbery. The 16-year-old was arrested on three counts of armed robbery with a firearm and one count of juvenile in illegal possession of a firearm and for possessing a handgun during the commission of a crime of violence.

Williams and his 78-year-old mother were carjacked at gunpoint last Monday while he helped her to her car. It happened around 10:00 p.m. in the 1000 block of Race Street in the Lower Garden District. 

Williams told police that at least three people were involved in taking his car.

On audio obtained by WWL-TV, you can hear Williams imploring the carjackers to let him get his mother out of the vehicle before they took off. He and his mother were not injured.
