Three face drug and gun charges after search at Lockport home

Brett Loupe, Blaize Guidroz, and Sadie Vedros each face charges.

LAFOURCHE PARISH, La. — Lafourche Parish Sheriff's Office says they have charged three suspects after agents searched a Lockport home.

The three suspects are 29-year-old Brett Loupe of Lockport, 18-year-old Blaize Guidroz of Gibson, and 19-year-old Sadie Vedros of Gibson.

The sheriff's office says a search warrant for a residence on Barker Road in Lockport after reports of illegal narcotics activity there involving Brett Loupe. 

The search happened on February 7. Loupe, Guidroz, Vedros, an 11-month-old child, and three others were home at the time. Loupe, Guidroz, and Vedros were arrested and booked into the Lafourche Parish Correctional Complex.

The following was recovered during the search :

  • Ten pounds of marijuana
  • 24 Xanax pills 
  • 24 Valium pills
  • 19 oxycodone pills
  • Three clonazepam pills
  • Approximately 6.7 grams of mushrooms (psilocybin)
  • a large amount of paraphernalia, some of which included items commonly used in distribution
  • $3,289 in cash
  • Seven firearms, including two AK-47s, four semi-automatic pistols, and one revolver

Loupe was charged with the following:

  • Possession with intent to distribute Xanax, Valium, marijuana, and oxycodone, 
  • Possession of psilocybin, possession of clonazepam, possession of drug paraphernalia,
  • Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon,
  • Illegal carrying of a weapon in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance
  • Illegal use of a controlled dangerous substance in the presence of a juvenile. 

Loupe's bail is set at $182,000, and he is also being held for Louisiana Probation and Parole.

Guidroz was charged with the following:

  • Possession of marijuana
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Illegal carrying of a weapon in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance
  • Illegal use of a controlled dangerous substance in the presence of a juvenile 

Guidroz was released on February 7 after posting bond.

Vedros was issued a criminal summons and charged with illegal use of a controlled dangerous substance in the presence of a juvenile.
