BRIDGE CITY, La. — A 17-year-old teen who escaped from an Office of Juvenile Justice facility was found and taken into custody by authorities per arrest warrants, according to the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff's Office.
Terrebonne Parish Sheriff Tim Soignet said they were searching for 17-year-old Blaze Crochet, of Thibodaux, who escaped from an Office of Juvenile Justice facility where he was being detained on Probation Violation-related charges.
“The Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office Special Victim’s Unit (SVU) was actively investigating the incident, though his location was unknown. Crochet is described as 5’6″ tall, weighing approximately 170 pounds, with brown hair, and blue eyes,” said Sheriff Soignet in a press release sent Saturday.
Crochet also has outstanding warrants for his arrest in Lafourche Parish, for unrelated offenses. Crochet has also been placed into NCIC (Nation Crime Information Center) for his escape from custody the sheriff's office said.
It is unknown when or how Crochet turned up missing and it is unclear from which OJJ facility he escaped.
